Clerodendrum quadrilocurale (Blanco) Merr. commonly known as the “Bagawak morado” is the Makiling Botanic Gardens’ Plant of the Month of January. It is also known as firecracker, fireworks, Philippine glory-bower, shooting star, starburst bush and winter starburst. Bagawak morado belongs to family Lamiaceae and is native to Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.
