On 28 May 2019, European Ambassadors had a short visit in the Makiling Botanic Gardens. The Head of the Delegation is H.E. Franz Jessen with H.E. Jozsef Bencze, Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines; Mrs. Amaya Fuentes-Milani, Ambassador of Embassy of Hungary; Mr. Kairul Hazwan, Deputy Head of Embassy of Spain; Mr. Thelmo Michel Olascoaga, Second Secretary (Deputy Chief of Mission) of Embassy of Brunei Darussalam and some interns.
The delegation were welcomed and toured by Dr. Rogelio T. Andrada II, Deputy Director of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) and Head of the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG). Present also were For. Leilani A. Castillo, Head of the Forest Watershed Division (FWD), For. Angela A. Limpiada, University Extension Associate II of MBG, For. Analyn C. Malayba, Forester 1 of MBG and For. Mae Belen L. Putian, University Research Associate II of the Extension Linkages and Decision Support (ELDS).
The short tour lasted for about 30 minutes. The EU delegates enjoyed their short tour and wished that they had a much longer time. They said they will definitely be back.
