Students from Kobe University visited the Makiling Botanic Gardens

Last 18 September 2018, students from Kobe University visited the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG). The students were part of the Language Instruction Towards Excellence (LITE) Program  of the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) College of Arts and Sciences. Part of their English Plus Course is an educational trip. This aims to expose the students to the different facets of Filipino heritage and cultural practices.

A total of 19 students and 1 faculty guardian roamed around the garden. The Educators for Nature Tourism (ENTs) of MBG guided the students. They were also assisted by For. Angela A. Limpiada, University Extension Associate (UEA) of MBG.

The students were introduced to the different plants native to the Philippines. They get also the chance to be familiarized with the beauty and uniqueness of the Philippine flora.
