On July 17, 2026, the Makiling Botanic Gardens welcomed Prof. Jean A. Saludadez, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), and Dr. François Cooren of Université de Montréal for a brief visit.
The guests enjoyed a quick guided tour led by For. Angela A. Limpiada of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME), who introduced them to selected plant collections, theme gardens, and the gardens’ role in biodiversity conservation and environmental education.
