Amherstia nobilis Wall. also known as the “Queen of Flowering Plants” is the Makiling Botanic Gardens Plant of the Month for April 2019. Amherstia belongs to family Leguminosae, native to Myanmar. It was introduced and cultivated in Malesia and in the Philippines. Amherstia has a large beautiful pinkish-red flowers that attracts not just insects, animals and visitors who are very fond of flowering plants.
