A professor and students from Chungnam National University, a national university in South Korea, visited the Makiling Botanic Gardens on January 5, 2026. The visit featured selected theme gardens, such as Philippinensis Row and Tree World, where discussions on endemic and native plant species of the Philippines were led by Foresters Angela A. Limpiada and Alexis John T. Fajardo.
The delegation was composed of Professor Byung Bae Park, Mr. Jongchan Yeo, For. Bryan Carayugan, and For. Wencelito Hintural. The visit was facilitated by Dr. Marilyn S. Combalicer, Department Chair of the Department of Forest Biological Sciences; Dr. Lerma SJ. Maldia, Director of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME); and Dr. Alona C.
