Visitors from the Government of Indonesia’s Directorate of Biodiversity Conservation of Species and Genetics (KKH), together with the Park Management of Gunung Leuser (GLNP) and Way Kambas (WKNP), representatives from the Penabulu Foundation, and the grantees of SGP-supported projects in Indonesia had a short visit and guided tour inside the Makiling Botanic Gardens last March 28, 2023. The tour highlighted the native and endemic flora of the Philippines. As part of their visit to the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, they visited one of the ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHPs) in the Philippines which is the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve. The tour was initiated by the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) staff For. Angela Limpiada, For. Analyn Malayba and MCME Acting Director Dr. Lerma S. Maldia.
