On September 28, 2024, the European Union Ambassador to ASEAN, His Excellency Sujiro Seam, along with his delegation, visited the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) and took a brief tour of the nearest ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP), the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve (MMFR). They enjoyed the short guided tour of the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) – the nearest and most accessible part of MMFR AHP, led by For. Alexis John T. Fajardo, Forest Technician II of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) at the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
His Excellency and the delegation were captivated by the natural beauty and diversity the gardens had to offer.
