
Twenty-two (22) students from the University of the Philippines Los Baños successfully completed the Educators for Nature Tourism Training held on October 4, 2025, at the Toyota Environment Education Theatre, Makiling Botanic Gardens.
Among the participants, eight (8) came from the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (BS Forestry and Associate in Forestry), eight (8) from the College of Arts and Sciences (BS Biology), three (3) from the College of Agriculture and Food Science (BS Agricultural Chemistry and BS Agricultural Biotechnology), and one (1) from the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology.
The one-day training featured lectures on Ecotourism in the Philippines and Interpretation for Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMFR AHP) delivered by For. Angela Limpiada and For. Alexis John T. Fajardo. Participants also showcased their learning through demonstration spiels, each highlighting a flora, fauna, or point of interest found within the MMFR AHP. (by For. Angela A.
