Great Earth Ambassador Club of the Brent International School conducted a trail clean-up and biodiversity hike at the Makiling Botanic Gardens

Last 17 November 2018, the Great Earth Ambassador Club of the Brent International School in Mamplasan, Binan Laguna visited the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) for a trail clean-up and biodiversity hike. They are high school students who are interested in sustainability and biodiversity. Dr. Mike Baldwin led the group comprised of five (5) students and two (2) teachers.

Forester Angela Limpiada, University Extension Associate II (UEAII) of the MBG and Ms. Abby Grace Bermejo, Educator for Nature Tourism (ENTs) guided the group and toured them in the different MBG theme gardens. As they toured the garden, students and teachers picked trashes along the trail. They also hiked up to the MBG’s ecotrail.

Their visit was concluded by a short talk on Philippine Biodiversity held at the Toyota Environment Education Theater (TEET) of MBG.
