Gyrocarpus americanus Jacq. also known as “lapo-lapo” is the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) Plant of the Month for April 2020. Lapo-lapo belongs to family Hernandiaceae with a wide pantropical distribution. It sometimes called or refer to as helicopter tree, whirly tree and stinkwood.
