The Make it Makiling! (MIM) 2016, an Annual Lenten Season Visitor Management Program spearheaded by the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME), conducted a volunteer’s meeting at Sto Tomas’ Audio-Visual Room in Batangas on 12 February 2016. The meeting was attended by 45 volunteer group representatives composed of private, civic, and government organizations and institutions.
The meeting was facilitated by MCME staff in charge of coordinating the MIM Program – Foresters Joselito R. Barile, Aurora V. Mamiit, Leonardo D. Barua, Myranel S. Canceran, and Mr. Nick M. Manlisis. Topics discussed during the planning meeting include lessons from the 2015 Make It Makiling!, proposed volunteer site deployment, and presentation of the MIM2016 website featuring its online registration form and quiz. Volunteers’ issues and concerns were discussed and addressed during the meeting’s open forum.
