September 21, 2025 — The Makiling Medical Society (MMS) once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship by conducting replanting and maintenance activities at its Tree Planting and Nurturing (TPN) site, established last year in partnership with the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME).

Building on the success of last year’s launch, this initiative supports MCME’s ongoing efforts to rehabilitate open areas within the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMFR AHP). By promoting the use of endemic and native tree species, the project not only contributes to ecological restoration but also helps ensure the resilience and long-term sustainability of the forest ecosystem.

MMS has pledged to continue this initiative annually, focusing on both the survival of previously planted seedlings and the progressive restoration of the planting site.

The MCME extends its heartfelt gratitude to MMS and all partners who participated in the activity, reaffirming their shared and lasting commitment to conservation.
