Maria Montessori School holds experiential environmental learning at the Makiling Botanic Gardens

On January 29, 2026, the Makiling Botanic Gardens hosted students from the Maria Montessori School for a field-based observation. As part of the Youth for Agriculture Immersion Program led by Ms. Cristina Sison, the group received an orientation from Foresters Angela Limpiada and Alexis Fajardo on the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve’s critical role in biodiversity conservation and environmental education. To conclude the visit, the Educators for Nature Tourism (ENTs) guided the students through the gardens, successfully bridging classroom theories with real-world ecological contexts.
