
The Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) warmly welcomes For. Carl Earvin D. Carada, who officially took his oath of office on 9 October 2025 before Dr. Lerma S.J. Maldia, Director of MCME.
For. Carada joins the Social Forestry Division (SFD) of MCME, headed by For. Leonardo D. Barua, who was also present during the ceremony. He is expected to contribute to the Center’s ongoing programs and initiatives in community-based forest management and sustainable upland development.
On the same occasion, For. Marlo M. Caña also took his oath of office following his promotion to University Researcher I under the Forest Watershed Division (FWD) of MCME. His advancement reflects his continued dedication and contributions to watershed management research and extension programs.
MCME extends its warmest congratulations to For. Carada and For. Caña as they take on their new roles in advancing the Center’s mandate of sustainable mountain ecosystem management and conservation within the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park.
