In accordance with Memo No. 173 issued by the Office of the Chancellor, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), and following the directives of the Dean of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) announces the temporary closure of the Mariang Makiling Trail (MMT) and the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) starting 16 November until 17 November 2024 or until further notice.
This measure is being taken to ensure the safety of visitors and staff in light of potential hazards posed by Super Typhoon Pepito.
