Los Baños, Laguna – July 29, 2025 – The National Fire Training Institute (NFTI) brought an unexpected but heartwarming performance to the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG), blending public service with artistic expression through music and song.
Set against the lush and serene backdrop of the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve (MMFR), the NFTI’s visit offered a refreshing take on community engagement. The 15-member delegation, known for their dedication to public safety and training, shared their musical talents in a heartfelt presentation that resonated with garden visitors.
Prior to the performance, Foresters Analyn C. Malayba and Alexis T. Fajardo of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) assisted the group in preparing for the activity. Their guidance ensured that the event not only honored the natural beauty of the Gardens but also enhanced the visitor experience.
The performance highlighted the NFTI personnel’s multifaceted commitment to service, demonstrating that harmony can be expressed not only through discipline and training but also through the universal language of music.
