The Makiling Botanic Gardens presents “Pakpak lawin lalake” as the Plant of the Month of February. Its scientific name is Asplenium nidus L. commonly known as “bird’s nest fern.” Pakpak lawin lalake belongs to family Aspleniaceae. It is native to the following countries: tropical south eastern Asia, eastern Australia, Hawaii, Polynesia, Christmas Island, India, and eastern Africa. It is most commonly cultivated as a hanging landscape plant.
