Santan-Puti is the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) Plant of the Month (POM) for November 2020. The “Santan-Puti” or scientifically known as Ixora finlaysoniana Wall ex. G.Don belongs to family Rubiaceae.
It is a shrub growing up to 5m high. The entire plant is dried and used as medicine for strength in Thailand and its flower produces an essential oil.
