On 7 January 2026, representatives from Decathlon Philippines visited the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) and the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) to explore potential locations for their upcoming outdoor training program. Learning and Development Leader Randolf Magada, Mountain Product Training Referent and Sport Leader Ed Kenneth B. Glipa, and Mountain Product Trainer Julius Viloria, along with Foresters Myranel Canceran, Angela Limpiada, Arnulfo Yanoria, Alexis Fajardo, and other staff from MCME conducted an ocular inspection.
This visit served as a follow-up to their initial inquiry in 2025. The visit aimed to identify key points of interest to assess whether the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve is a suitable venue for the company’s technical training and environmental programs.
