On October 20, 2016, the Fujitsu Ten Corporation in the Philippines (FTCP) located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna launched the Fujitsu Ten Makiling Botanic Gardens Plant Labelling Project in collaboration with the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG). This is one of the many proposed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities/projects of FTCP in partnership with the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME).
A total of 14 employees joined the installation of plant labels, spearheaded by Dr. Rogelio T. Andrada II, Deputy Director of MCME and current Head of the Botanic Gardens, Parks and Ecotourism Division (BGPED) of MCME together with Ms. Lenny Melgor, GA-CSR Coordinator of the Human Resource and General Affairs Section (HRGAS) of FTCP and Ms. Marites Maghirang, President of Fujitsu Ten Employees Association.
The plant labels were installed in the following point of interest inside the MBG namely: Tree World, Hardin ni Maria, Picnic Area and MBG Circle. The labels were designed by For. Valeriana Barredo-Parducho and For. Angela Limpiada sponsored by FTCP.
The MCME is very grateful for the generosity that FTCP is extending to MBG and Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMFR AHP) as a whole. May these efforts be an inspiration to other private companies to join the advocacy of protecting and conserving the environment.
