Professors from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a public university in Malaysia visited the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMFR AHP) from 13 to 14 December 2022. Dr. Jamalunlaili Abdullah, Dr. Mohd Salleh Daim, Ms. Siti Noorbaizura Bookhari, Ms. Mazzueen Md Khalid, and Ms. Mas Aiyu Jamaludin of UiTM had a short tour inside the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG) which was led by For. Alexis John T. Fajardo and For. Angela A. Limpiada.
A short trek at the Mudspring happened the following day. The hike was led by For. Limpiada and MCME’s Protection Regulation Unit Staff: For. Arnulfo Yanoria, Sp.Police Capt Gardie Canilan, Sp. Police Lt. Jay Madrigal, and Mr. Romer Mada. It was a gloomy day but they still enjoyed the slippery hike up to the Mudspring and Makiling Rainforest Park.
Dr. Daim mentioned and is excited about bringing their students for internship in the future so that they will come to experience different park and recreation management such as that of the MMFR AHP.
