Dr. Katsuhide Yokoyama and Dr. Akira Kawamura, professors of Urban Environmental Sciences at the Tokyo Metropolitan University in Japan visited the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). As part of their visit to the UPLB College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), they had a short tour of the Makiling Botanic Gardens (MBG), academic buildings and facilities in CFNR, and Mariang Makiling Trail (MMT) Station 1 of the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMR AHP). The professors enjoyed their short tour inside the MBG especially their stopover on the Weir located in Molawin Creek. They were accompanied by Dr. Joan Casila of the UPLB College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) while the tour was led by For. Angela A. Limpiada of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME).
