In preparation for the Make it Makiling! (MIM!) 2026, the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) held its General Assembly Meeting on 06 February 2026. Led by the Chairperson, Alexis John Fajardo, and Assistant Chairperson, Mary Anne Abadillos, the steering committee presented the team’s organizational structure and shared results from the strategic meetings and coordination dialogues. The committee assessed the progress made thus far and identified the crucial steps that need to be taken before MIM! 2026, scheduled on 29 March to 05 April 2026.
The group concentrated on essential topics, including safety regulations, collaboration with other agencies, visitor management throughout the site, and the delegation of specific responsibilities to staff and volunteers. The meeting concluded with an open forum where the committee addressed questions to ensure smooth collaboration among all members.
