The Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) welcomed four (4) new staff under the Protection and Regulation Unit (PRU) headed by Forester Rolly V. Breva. The new forest protectors are as follows: Mr. Jasper Jayson T. Madrigal as Special Police Lieutenant, a registered nurse from Barangay Bambang, Los Baños, Laguna; Mr. Glen DA. Ubay as Special Policeman from Cabuyao, Laguna; Ms. Maricris F. Sityar as Special Police Corporal from Barangay Maahas, Los Baños, Laguna; and Forester Gardie N. Canilan as Special Police Captain from Barangay Look, Calamba City, Laguna.
Special Police Lieutenant Madrigal, Special Policeman Ubay, and Special Police Corporal Sityar took their oath of office on 08 February, 15 January and 07 January 2019 respectively while Special Police Captain Canilan took his oath of office last 18 December 2018. Present during their oath taking were Administrative Officers Ms. Emelita M. Federico and Ms. Ofelia M. Manasan and MCME Director Dr. Roberto G. Visco.
