His Excellency Stuart Calman, New Zealand Ambassador to ASEAN, had a short visit and tour to Mount Makiling Forest Reserve (MMFR), one of the ASEAN Heritage Parks in the Philippines, as part of their visit to the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity. His Excellency with his delegation visited the Makiling Botanic Gardens of MMFR on 20 February 2024. The tour highlighted the endemic and native species of the Philippines showcased inside the gardens. The tour was led by Assoc. Prof. Marlo D. Mendoza, Dean of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) and For. Angela A. Limpiada, University Extension Associate of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems, CFNR, UPLB.
