Last 22 November 2022, the City Environment & Natural Resources Office of the City Government of Sto. Tomas organized a Refresher Course for Eco-guides in preparation for the opening of the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve and Mount Malepunyo to visitors. The activity was led by Forester Angela A. Limpiada of the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems. Discussion about interpretation, ecotourism and how to be a responsible eco-guide was included in the training activity. Each participant was also encouraged to show their interpretation and speech skills to make the course more effective. Participants came from eco-guides of Sipit Trail, Mount Malepunyo and DRRMO of Sto. Tomas City.
