Zamia integrifolia L.f. popularly known as Zamia or sometimes called as wild sago. Zamia is the Makiling Botanic Gardens’ Plant of the Month for April 2018. It belongs to the family Zamiaceae and is native to Southeast United States. Its conservation status according to the IUCN is nearly threatened. Just be ware of this plant because all its parts are toxic to humans if eaten raw and are poisonous to dogs and livestock. We have it here at the MBG so come and visit Zamia!
