Vanda sanderiana Reichb.f. or commonly known as Waling-waling is the Makiling Botanic Gardens’ Plant of the Month for October 2017. It belongs to the family Orchidaceae and is endemic to the Philippines specifically in Davao, Cotabato and Zamboanga in Mindanao. Waling-waling is also known as the national flower aka the “Queen of Philippine flowers.” It is already endangered so it needs your help in its protection and conservation.
